Biography

2001, Winnipeg, Canada: all young High Five Drives set up their first group inspired by national ( Choke , Belvedere ) and international ( Strung Out , Lagwagon ...) A first EP Something Better is published the following year and it is the beginning of a long devotion to their band with local concerts that become regional then national, in the first part of sizes like Rufio, Belvedere, Slick Shoes, Satanic Surfers or Mad Caddies.
After the exhaustion of the EP and numerous appearances on national compils, they return to work and make up a dozen titles that end up on Service Engine Soon released on Spawner Records (The Johnsons ...) in the summer '04.
Follows a long promotion of the album on the roads then a rest deserved until they resume service at the end of 2005 and sign 2 tracks that come out on an EP split with the Japanese Sentimental in January '06. On its launch, the band continued shortly after with the recording of its second album, From the Ground Up , with Blair Calibaba and Steve Rawles at the helm. Initially released by their own means, the galette was later taken over by Lost Records (Canada), then Fast Circle (Japan) and Shattered Thought Records (Europe) in '07. The European release takes effect at the end of October, they come to promote the album, trampling through the ground of the Old Continent for the first time (in October / November).
