Ho99O9
Biography
Ho99o9 emerged in 2012 in Newark, New Jersey, bringing together TheOGM and Eaddy, both from the NJstreetKLAN artistic collective, now known as JerseyKLAN. Initially influenced by DMX's Gangsta Rap, the duo will quickly turn to Brooklyn's Punk and Art Punk scene, including Japanther, The Death Set or A.L.I.E.N. art shows, in addition to the horrific inspirations of White Zombie. They will also be brought closer to such trainings as Death Grips, Bad Brains or Big Black. Ho99o9 expels its first EP Mutant Freax in 2014 and makes the consistent choice of self-production. They will be invited to the Afropunk Festival the same year, then to the SXSW 2015 with a second short format, Horrors of 1999 . Their live performances do not leave the public or the press indifferent. This will lead them to tour London, Paris, Amsterdam, then Eurockéennes, Pukkelpop, Reading and other trendy festivals, again in 2015. After a mixtape (Dead Bodies In The Lake) and a tour with The Dillinger Escape Plan, TheOGM and Eaddy started working on the first album, United States of Horror , to be released in 2017.
