Biography

Hope Drone was founded in 2011 in Brisbane, Australia, around Aaron Pickersgill (Basse), Francis Keil (Battery), Karl Hartwig (Guitare / Noise), Chris Rowden (Guitare / Noise / Song) and Patrick Ruggles (Chant). The latter only remains a year in the formation before Hope Drone becomes a quartet and releases a first eponymous in 2013. Cloak Of Ash , their first album, was signed by Relapse Records and appeared in 2015 allowing Hope Drone to make them talk. But their way of combining a telluric and harassing Black Metal Altar Of Plagues really takes shape with Void Lustre in 2019, combining both epic and wretched elements, without any trace of light. In 2021 Hope Drone released the ep Husk which appeared at Moment Of Collapse Records in March 2022.
