Biography
Scott Eastman - chant/guitar Greg Mytych - bass/song Bryan Jones - drums Don Meehleis - guitar/song
Tempe, Arizona, USA, 1991: Scott Eastman and Bill Ramsey are looking to set up a band... After a few months during which bass moults will succeed and the name Horace Pinker will be found, the trio stabilizes thanks to Bryan Jones. Very soon they will make the first part of Butthole Surfers, Fugazi and the "soon to be" green day pertusches. Next year (1993): first eight-month tour of the North American continent, and writing of the first Powertools album to be released in '94. '94: the small group that is not cold in their eyes starts its first European tour with its first CD freshly under the arm. A split with Face To Face will also be released during this time on Rhetoric Records. At the end of the year, Bill's departure announced a restructuring of the band since Bryan migrated from bass to battery and the new Miguel Barron took the 4 strings. '95: the trio is a place on European summer festivals, including the Dynamo Open Air. Fat Wreck Chords will even release a 7" Horace Pinker ... '96 will be dedicated to incessant tours (Oceania with The Melvins , Europe and United States) as well as to the release of Burn Tempe To the Ground , their second opus recorded by Ryan Greene. It will then be high time to take a break. '97: the band moves to the other end of the United States, to Chicago, and Matt Arluck stacks up on the second guitar, just in time for more concerts this time with At The Drive-In and then Dynamite Boy ('98). End '98: HP leaves in studio with Mass Giorgini. 2 discs will come out: the EP Copper Regret (on Coldfront) and in the footsteps Pop Culture Failure on the label oriented ska Jump Up! The latter benefits from the experience of Chris Bauermesiter (Jawbreaker ) who joined the band as a bassist. 2000: again a North American tour of nearly 20,000 kms. In 2001 Don Meelheis and Greg Mytych (respectively guitarist and bassist) completed the new line-up and participated in the new European tour (annual for the American combo). Rebelotte in 2002 (including an appearance at Groezrock) and 2003. After the German tour of '03, the label Offtime Records released the EP Red-Eyed Regular. In 2005 Thick Records recovered them for the release of the new Texas One Ten album. To promote this opus, they tour in South America, the USA and... in Europe (May '05), now showing nearly 800 concerts on the counter.
