Biography

Hord was founded in 2002 between Nimes and Montpellier on the ashes of local formations such as Lymloss and Homecreep. Starting in a heavy Neo Metal niche, influenced by the Indus and the Nordic extreme metal formations, the band recorded its first demos. Luc (Guitare), Kristen Schwartz (Basse), Styx (Chant), Moerty Fooley (Guitare), Vincent Barnavol (Battery, Chant) and Hadrian Tourrec aka DJ Fat (Samples, Machines) then evolve and deliver an extremely compact Cyber Metal on their first self-produced album entitled Reborn From Chaos in 2006. The reception of the record is mixed, but Hord makes some first parts of Fear Factory, Misery Index, Punish Yourself and Black Bomb A. After a few line-up changes, especially in the singing and guitar (Jonathan Devaux then replaced Styx and Luc) in 2009, Hord took a new musical direction. The concept album The Waste Land released in 2010 is inspired by post-apocalyptic literature and cinema and is produced by Jochem Jacobs (Textures ). Three years later, with a new concept and musical dynamic, The Book Of Eliot, appeared at Send The Wood Music. At the end of 2014, the group unfortunately throws the sponge.
