Horrorpops
Biography
Behind this somewhat frightening name at first glance, Kim Nekroman, founder of the mythical Nekromantix and his wife Patricia Day, accompanied for the hour of Henrik "Niedermeier" Stendahl, the trio evolves in a style ranging from rockabilly to psychobilly. The meeting of the two companions took place on the occasion of a concert of Nekromantix in 1996, for which the group of Patricia of the period Peanut Pump Gun performs the first part, the current passes immediately and quickly they decide to form a band in which Kim could expand his music more than he can do with his main project, Horrorpops was born. While the band focused mainly on live performances during its early years, it still recorded a few tracks in the early 2000s, including Psychobitches Outta Hell and Ghouls, who would quickly tour the clubs in Copenhagen, Horrorpops began to have a substantial fan base and the pressure of the latter to record an album was felt. After a tour including a concert at Berlin's mythical Wild at Heart, the Danish returned to California to record the last titles of what would be their first opus, after a few shows with Rancid and Tiger Army, Hell Yeah! is finally available in early 2004 at Hellcat records. In the meantime the trio had to embark on a US tour, but for admninistrative problems this one is cancelled, instead the band is offered 3 first parts of The Offspring that is running in Europe at this time, the United States will end up smiling with them with among others a passage at Jimmy Kimmel. Back in the studio in Los Angeles in 2005, Horrorpops gave birth to his second mischief, Bring it We see the participation of Geoff Kresge (passed by Tiger Army, AFI ...) as rhythm guitarist, will follow tours around the globe. At the beginning of 2007, the band announced that it was recording its next baby, a year will be needed before Kiss Kiss Kill Kill will come out, the theme recursing on this new album in the very Series-B atmosphere is the cavalry. The band's last concert dates back to 2011 and nothing is announced yet.
