1994 marks the beginnings of these hardcore pillars from Gainesville, Florida. After releasing a 7" titled Eating the Filler, then the EP Push for Coin, Hot Water Music (from the book of the same title by Charles Bukowski) released in '95 its very first album, Finding the Rythms. We can say that they found him their rhythm; With almost one album per year, the quartet continued its progression in 1996 with Fuel for the Hate Game. Nevertheless, the band split on the eve of the release of their third galette, Forever and Counting . The post hardcore scene wasn't going to be out for a very long time, since the quartet will quickly reform, chaining the singles, until the release of No Division in '99. A Flight and a Crash accompanies the arrival of the new millennium, but also their signature on the prestigious label Epitaph ( Leftover Crack , Buncing Souls , Bad Religion ). Chuck, Jason, Chris and George are still not out of breath, and give birth in 2002 at Deposit. After a tour with Alexisonfire , and Moments in Grace , 2004 sees the release of The New What Next.
The group split up the following year, driven by desires from elsewhere. Wanted to be realized quickly since three of his members (Chris, George and Jason) founded The Draft in the wake and released an album. Chuck Ragan prefers to play solo. He will be imitated by his friend who is investing in Chris Wollard and the Ship Thieves. Jason Black joined Senses Fail.
But very soon, in 2007, all this beautiful world finds itself for a reformation concert, then some, then a tour in the United States, one in Europe (leading the Groezrock '08 poster)... Anyway, the scene was too itchy for our four fellows to announce their return. On 22 January '08, it appears even to No Idea Till the Wheels Fall Off , a compilation of b-sides and rarity. But on June 15, George Rebelo (battery) announced his departure for the vacant position at Against Me! False alarm, however, regarding the future of the group, since it ends, with its original line-up, by releasing in 2012 the very successful Exister before returning in 2017 with Light It Up.
