Hundred Year Storm was established in Austin, Texas in the summer of 2003. A year later, the group recorded a first eponymous EP, which it released regionally, and managed to sell more than 2,000 copies. The EP will be reissued in 2006 by Northern Records in an enriched version of 4 titles. The original sales of the EP send HYS on the scenes on the West side, then East, including a passage to the 2005 Cornerstone Festival. Seduced by the experimental aspect of the band's music, Josh Ragsdale, director of Floodgate Records ( Bernard , Transition , ...) sign Hundred Year Storm , which released his first full length, Hello from the Children of Planet Earth , on August 22, 2006.
