Iapetus

Iapetus is a duo formed in 2010 by the two New York guitarists Jordan Navarro and Matthew Cerami. In addition to their main instrument, the first supports keyboards and the battery (programmed), and the second the growled song and bass. Together, they released the demo two tracks Soldier Of Eternity in 2011 and the EP Eviscerate Divine the following year. From the beginning, Iapetus' musical approach was both brutal and aerial, massive and melodic, between Death and Prog. The formation seems to appreciate the long complex constructions and the very loose interludes between two cobbles. In early 2017, the duo released a first long format entitled The Long Road Home , which takes up almost all the titles of the previous two efforts (but some are revisited, Savior Solitude gains two minutes on the counter for example) and also includes some new titles. Two and a half years later, a new album was released: The Body Cosmic .
