Ictus
Biography
Ictus took shape in Galicia in 2004 with a lineup then still very undecided (no bassist). However, this will not prevent the Iberians from giving their first concerts very quickly. The "final" formation of Ictus will eventually include a bassist, a drummer, a vocalist and no less than three guitars. It is under this configuration that Hambrientos De Un Sol Distinto will be recorded in 2005, after less than a year of existence. This album propels the band on the front of the Spanish Crust scene and allows them to continue the adventure despite the successive departures of the drummer and bass player, both replaced by compatriots from Madame Germen. In the middle of all this agitation (the singer will also leave the band) Ictus will find the energy to shoot in France and Spain and to release two splits in 2006. 2007 sees the release of their second album Imperivm (name referring to the United States of America). However, it will be somewhat overshadowed by the serious road accident suffered by the group last August during its visit to Bielorussie. Mejuto, the drummer, remains long months without knowing whether he will ever be able to walk properly.
A last blow of the spell comes (temporarily?) at the end of the band's efforts when Underhill Records ceased its activity in 2008, leaving them without a label while just appeared Ictus , a compilation of Hambrientos of a Sol Distinto and the two splits of the Galicians.
