Imminence
Biography
Imminence is a Swedish metalcore band from Trelleborg, founded by guitarist Harald Barrett in 2009 and joined shortly afterwards by vocalist and violinist Eddie Berg. Alex Arnoldsson (Rhythm guitar) and Peter Hanström (battery) will join the band in 2012, while the bass player's place will see three people march: Fredrik Rosdahl (2009-2014), Max Holmberg (2015-2018) until Christian Höijer since 2018. First rooted in the Death Metal Mélodic, Imminence will gradually move away from its roots even before the release of its first EP, Born of Sirius, in 2012. In 2013, the band signed its first contract with the record company We Are Triumphant Records and released its second EP, Return for Helios , as well as their first studio album, I , in 2014. Most of the videos, shot by Eddie Berg himself on the occasion of these outings, met a certain enthusiasm with the public. In 2015, Imminence announced that it would join Arising Empires and released the album This is Goodbye in 2017. The tours and studio passages are linked since between a tour with Annisokay and Breathe Atlantis , Imminence will release their third studio album Turn the Light On in 2019, and the fourth album, Heaven in Hiding , in 2021. In 2024, the Swedish band released its fifth studio album, The Black , this time independently.
