In This Moment

Maria Brink (Chant) and Chris Howorth (Guitare) founded a metal band in Los Angeles in 2005, originally called Dying Star. They then recruited Blake Bunzel (Guitare), Josh Newell (Basse) and Jeff Fabb (Battery) who came to complete the training and changed their name to In This Moment. Josh did not stay long and was replaced by Jess Landry in winter 2005. Rob Nicholson, bassist for Ozzy Osbourne , became the manager of the band that published his first demos on myspace. Their fanbase grew and their name came to the ears of Century Media Records, who signed their first album, Beautiful Tragedy in early 2007, carried by the singles Prayers and the eponymous song. Their recipe combining Metalcore, Metal and Hard-Rock works and In This Moment has the opportunity to shoot with Lacuna Coil, perform at the Ozzfest 2007 and 2008, and accompany sizes like Megadeth and Rob Zombie. They recorded a cover of the 2008 title Heaven's A Lie by Lacuna Coil and released a second album, The Dream , in September 2008, produced by Kevin Churko (Slash , Five Finger Death Punch , Ozzy Osbourne ). The album is a success in sales and In This Moment embarks on a tour with Five Finger Death Punch , Mudvayne , Papa Roach and Filter in 2009 while Kyle Konkiel becomes their new bass player. The band also made its first lead tour with In Fear And Faith, Agraceful and Motionless In White. The Americans did not lose time the following year: Kyle was replaced by Travis Johnson on bass, and the third album, A Star-Crossed Wasteland, was released in June 2010. A new tour with Sevendust, Disturbed and Korn is born, then they also tour with many metalcore combos such as Emmure, Alesana, Iwrestledabearonce, Blessthefall, For Today, Born Of Osiris, Motionless In White and Sleeping With Sirens. In 2011, two of the founding musicians, Blake and Jeff left In This Moment, replaced by Randy Weitzel (Guitare) and Tom Hane (Battery) with whom they recorded Blood, which was released in 2012 at Century Media Records. For two years there are many posters with bands like Papa Roach, Godsmack, Staind, Korn, P.O.D, Sevendust, Filter, Helmet, Butcher Babies or Devour The Day. In 2014, the band announced its new signature with Atlantic Records with which they released Black Widow, their fifth opus in November 2014, followed by a 2015 tour with Papa Roach and Five Finger Death Punch. Tom Hane announced his departure from the band in 2016.
