In Vain

In Vain was formed in 2003 in Kristiansand, by Johnar Haaland (guitarist) and Andreas Frigstad (singer). The group began with two EPs: Will The Sun Ever Rise in 2004 and Wounds in 2005. Norwegians receive a positive echo which allows them to sign with the Indie Recordings label. Their debut album The Latter Rain was released in 2007 and mixes death and black metal elements with a more progressive side. In 2010 the album Mantra followed and in 2013 the album Aenigma, both placing the band in the same vein as their compatriots of Enslaved. The band released a new album in 2018, entitled Currents .
