Incubus
Biography
Incubus' first album is Fungus Amungus , a small jewel of funky and jazzy metal released in 1995. Later Incubus started a tour with the release of his 2nd album S.C.I.E.N.C.E., which they would take in the following 6 years. Their 3rd album, Make Yourself , released in October 1999 and propel them to the top of the poster with the hits Pardon Me , Stellar and Drive which were all among the first three singles of the Modern Rock chart in 2000 and 2001. In 2001, Incubus even went on the main stage of the OzzFest tour, allowing them to reach a huge audience and build a reputation in addition to everything else. In October he released their highly anticipated fourth album, Morning View. The latter brought Incubus its greatest success to date by becoming a platinum record in just 10 weeks while Make Yourself continued to climb, selling more than 2 million albums. This growth continued steady with the help of the single Wish You Were Here coming second on the Billboards' modern rock chart. After these busy years, the group decided to take some well-deserved rest at the end of 2002. During this break, Mike and Jose created a side project influenced funk-jazz to express their creativity: Time Lapse Consortium with the appearance of the new bassist of Incubus Ben Kenney (ex-The Roots), Neal Evans (Soulive), Suzie Katayama and an 11-member orchestra. It was only at the beginning of 2004 that the band reappeared with A Crow Left Of The Murder, whose first single Megalomaniac , which reconnected with a sinuous sound, secured a nice success. A world tour that was later crowned with success, Californians gave birth to Light Granadas, which was released in autumn 2006. The band returned three years later with Monuments and Melodies, a double compilation.
