Iron Fire
Biography
Iron Fire is a Danish Power Metal band founded in 1995 in Copenhagen, first under the names Misery and then Decades Of Darkness before adopting the one we know today. Its only member present since the formation is its singer Martin Steene, who has also been bassist since 2013; After numerous line-up changes, he is currently accompanied by guitarist Kirk Backarach (since 2003, also in Vanir since 2015) and drummer Gunnar Olsen (who was already active between 1998 and 2000, back since 2015). The combo did not really become active until 1998, when he recorded his first demo which allowed him to join the German label Noise Records. The first album, Thunderstorm , was released in 2000, followed by On The Edge , which was less well received in 2001. A period of difficulty followed, and it was not until 2006 that Iron Fire signed his return to Napalm Records with Revenge . In the following years, the band remained particularly active, and four other albums appeared on the same label, until Voyage Of The Damned in 2012, which marked the end of the contract. Then it was a new hollow period, during which Iron Fire passed notably from quartet to trio, until 2016 when Aung The Dead was released at Crime Records. In 2018, the Dawn Of Creation compilation celebrates the twentieth anniversary, after which is announced the ninth album for March 2019: Beyond The Void .
