Biography

Trio at its creation in 2005 by Aage André Krekling (Battery / Chant), Simon Larsen (Guitare / Claviers / Chant) and Arne Aalstad (Basse), Iskald means "glacial" in Norwegian and plays a Black Metal melodic with Heavy Metal sounds in the lineage of Immortal. The band released a demo and an ep, Northern Twilight , in 2005 and 2006, but unfortunately Arne died on 2 February 2006 from a car accident before being able to record an album. Iskald found himself without a bassist, it is in the person of Anders Lambersøy that they appeal to record Shades Of Misery which comes out at the end of the year in self-production, then at Indie Recordings in May 2007. To ensure the live performances, the duo joins the services of René Zonneveld (Basse) and Espen Solstad (Guitare) and perform in March 2008 at the Inferno Festival alongside Satyricon, Gorgoroth and Behemoth. At the end of the year, Revelations Of Reckoning Day is still out at Indie Recordings, and the band starts a tour with Vreid and Kampfar. Early 2011, The Sun I Carried Alone was born and Ben Hansen (Guitare) replaced Espen in 2011 for live and Isak Larsen replaced René on bass in 2011. In 2014 it was Nedom Og Nord who appeared and began to have a good international press. Iskald continues his journey in 2018 with Innhøstinga and is a sure value of the Norwegian Black Metal melodic. Since 2019, Ivel has been Iskald's new live bass player.
