Wolf is really marked by the history of Russia. After fighting in Black Kronstadt between 1992 and 1997, anarcho punk formation of Victoria, British Columbia, he founded Iskra (The Spark in Russian) with his colleague Devin, named after the Marxist revolutionary newspaper, an organ of the Russian Social Democratic Workers' Party, led by Lenin, Martov and Plekhanov. Scott and Nick also take part in the adventure. The band released an album as well as an ep at Profane Existence but because of disagreement with the label did not manage to achieve the long-awaited second album. Whatever, Iskra takes advantage of the bounty offered by Rodent Popsicle to release a split in 2007 alongside Against Empire.
