Iwrestledabearonce is an American Mathcore band from Louisiana founded in 2007. After releasing a successful ep in the USA, they recorded an album in 2009, titled It's all happening and toured with bands like Architects , Horse the Band , Despised Icon or The Dillinger Escape Plan in the USA and Canada. Phrases and technical ease are on the program for a chaotic mathcore oscillating between deathcore, grindcore and technical death metal, sprinkled with electro and fusion genres (jazz, disco, swing). They will release in 2010 an ep of remix dub and electro songs from the first ep and album It's All Happening titled It's All Dubstep . Note the presence of a woman with singing, something rare enough to be mentioned, which impresses by the vocal amplitude that she can develop, as comfortable with the screams proper to the grindcore as with sung parts (rather well executed elsewhere). Their motto: "Our goal is to keep people from being able toguess what we're doing next..."
