Biography

Ixion (by the name of a hero Lapith of Antiquity, condemned to eternal suffering by the Gods) was originally a French duo that dates back to 2004 when multi-instrumentalist Julien Prat began working on his own compositions based on atmospheric beaches, electronic tables and Doom Death melodic. He was joined two years later by Thomas Saudray (Chant / Claviers), and together they recorded a first demo, Through The Space We Die, which was released in 2007. It will take four years for Ixion, who became a trio with Yannick Dilly (Chant), to release his first album, To The Void. With a deal via the Italian label Avantgarde Music, the French make a little talk about them, their music getting closer to bands like Inborn Suffering, Ablaze In Hatred or Mar De Grises. Very discreet and performing few concerts, Ixion returned four years later with an album under the arm, Enfant De La Nuit , which was released on the label Finistarian Dead End. A follow-up was given in 2017: Return .
