J Mascis

Escaped from Dinosaur Jr , of which he is the guitarist and one of the leading composers, J Mascis really started his solo career in 2011, with Several Shades of Why to which good people, such as Kurt Vile , Sophie Trudeau (A Silver Mt Zion ) or Kevin Drew (Broken Social Scene ) contributed. Its Rock/Folk blend, although mostly acoustic, is reminiscent of the malfeasance and melancholy of Dinosaur Jr. The second album, Tied to A Star, was released in 2014 via Sub Pop.
