Jack And The Bearded Fishermen
Biography
Besançon (or Besac, or Bezak City for the most intimate of us) is home to some of the safe values of the post hardcore circuit, stoner or more globally and simply rock n'roll. Jack And The Bearded Fishermen is one of the strongest representatives since 2009 and a first long format (Hinting Isn't Easy... When Dogs Become Wolves), preceded by a demo in 2005 and an eponymous EP a year later. A split with Hombre Malo's neighbors in 2010 and a track on a compilation will make the transition so that the world can host a second album in 2011, Places To Hide , recorded in Switzerland at Rec Studio by the imperturbable Serge Morattel ( Year Of No Light , Overmars , etc...). It will take three years to see the third along the bisontins, Minor Noise, with Andrew Schneider (Unsane, Converge, Cave In, Pelican, Sofy Major, etc.) in Brooklyn this time, still with Impure Muzik. Then the band will pose an eight-year hiatus, allowing some of its members to mount Red Gloves here, Harskh there or Go Spleen, in quite distant styles from JATBF. It was not until 2022 that the quintet reformed to release its third long format, Playful Winds , this time (self) produced in Besançon at the Zebra studio. line-up : B : Battery T : Bass P : Guitar B : Guitar / Keyboard / Song H : Guitar / Song
