Java
Biography
Groupe parisienne de Rap Musette, Java offers festive music coupled with texts soaked in metaphors and humour. The project was launched in 2000 by Erwan Seguillon (known as R-Wan) to sing, François-Xavier Bossard (known as Fixi) to the accordion and keyboards, Jérôme Boivin (known as Pafeman) to the bass and counter bass, and Alexis Bossard (known as Bistrol Banto) to the battery. It was very quickly that their first album Hawa i was released in 2000 allowing them to gain a good reputation and to engulf concert halls and festivals. Their rap accompanied by bal-musette music immediately blows. This is how the live Java Sur Seine was born in 2001. Two years later, they presented the cover for their second studio album Safari Croisière produced in Brazil and which reveals new musical influences. It was only six years later that their latest album, Cursed French, appeared. During this period, R-Wan began a solo career in parallel and released the album Radio Cortex containing Laisse Béton de Renaud. In 2010, Java announced that they were starting an indefinite break.
