Jean Sebastien Bach
Biography
Jean-Sébastien Bach , German composer and organist, was born in 1685. All his work is part of the Baroque repertoire but will also influence classical music in general. Rigorous and mastered, its many compositions are also of almost unparalleled harmonic richness. In fact, Bach is master in the art of juxtaposing several melodic lines (the counterpoint) and demonstrates this particularly in some of his most famous works such as Goldberg Variations and Fugue Art. Among his most famous compositions, one will also remember his famous toccata in D minor, his "Passions" or the well tempered keyboard. Bach died on 28 July 1750, leaving behind a huge work that now belongs to the heritage of Western music.
Many are the interpretations of the songs of this great composer. The discography of works (almost complete) proposed here tries to retain the most striking but is obviously not exhaustive.
