Biography

Jerry Cantrell is best known as Alice in Chains guitarist. In 1998 he made a small gap with the band he founded and recorded a first solo album surrounded by his companions Alice in Chains Sean Kinney and Mike Inez, but also Les Claypool ( Primus ) and Rex Brown ( Pantera ) on bass. Four years later he recorded Degradation Trip , surrounded by drummer Mike Bordin ( Faith No More ) and bassist Robert Trujillo ( Suicidal Tendencies , Infectious Grooves , Metallica ...). This record is a real ode to morosity due to a difficult passage in Jerry Cantrell's life. The album was dedicated to Layne Staley, singer of Alice in Chains, who died of an overdose shortly before the album was released. At the end of the year the label decided to release the record with thirteen additional songs. In 2006 Jerry Cantrell reformed Alice in Chains with William Duvall to replace the late Layne Staley.
