Jettie
Biography
Anders Gränsmark : Clas Bohman Battery : Chant/Guitare
Jettie formed in 1999 in Eskilstuna (Sweden) the initiative of Stefan Juhlin, Jesper Bohm, Clas Bohman and Johan Friman. At that time, each of the members was involved in other projects ( Jason And The Argonauts , Carned And Auster ), giving the formation a status closer to the side-project. After a few concerts and more than positive returns, members of the band agreed to focus on Jettie, which led them to the recording of a 4-track demo in 2000. Demo that convinces Kasual Recordings ( Ikaros, Buck,...) to sign them in order to publish a first EP, Goodmorning Russia, in 2001. That same year, they recorded a 7" split with Postman also published on another Swedish label: Black Star Foundation (Koma , Meleeh ,...). Then in 2003, the latter took over the release of a second EP, Some Stories We Trust ("Some Stories We Trust"), composed during their tour with Logh.
Following numerous changes in line up, which saw the departure of Stefan Juhlin (The Domus ), Jettie is finally looking at a very first long-duration album, Heading For Mornings , which will be released on May 05, 2005 on Kasual Recordings, and which will be distributed in the United States via Astro Magnetics (The Lovekill , The Blackout Pact ,...). Two years later, despite Johan's departure this time, the remaining pair announced the release of a new effort on November 07, Kites For Charity, and previously released at the U.S.A. via Eyeball Records (New London Fire, The Tiny,...), specifically on September 25.
