Biography

Jim Adkins: Song/Guitare Tom Linton: Guitar/Chant Rick Burch: Bass Zach Lind: Battery Jimmy Eat World, it is above all the story of 4 kids who discover a common passion: music. From that time, only the first bassist, Mitch porter, left the adventure to leave his place for Rick Burch. 1994 marked the beginning of the group under the name we now know. With influences as varied as those of Def Leppard , Rocket From The Crypt , or Velvet Underground , the quartet embarks on small concerts, turning into his home country of Mesa (Arizona). Some singles released in '95 on the Wooden Blue Records label, followed by splits cds with Christie Front Drive, and Blueprint. From Wooden Blue to Capitol Records; The label signed them and released their first album, Static Prevails, the following year. Two years later, Jimmy Eat World released his second album: Clarity. Their relationship with Capitol is slowly beginning to deteriorate. This dear Major will eventually politely designate them as the way out. Despite this, the band gets good feedback from across the Atlantic, and decides to release a compilation of old songs entitled Singles. Like the independent industry, the Arizonians decided to take charge of themselves, going as far as to self-finance their own "Support Jimmy Eat World" tour. 2001: new turning point for Jim and his peers, since it is Dreamworks' turn to notice them. The latter leave them carte blanche for this third album. A rich idea when we see the outcome of this collaboration with their blender, and above all a long-time friend: Mark Trombino (Blink-182 , Midtown ). "Bleed American" (title of the album), "The Middle", "Sweetness" are powerful tubes. On "A Praise Chorus", in thanks for his support on the previous tour, the quartet invites Davey VonBohlen, singer of the Promise Ring lights. Two and a half years of tour, closing their label in January 2004, whatever! Jimmy Eat World joined Interscope, and set out to prepare Futures, their fourth opus, released in October last year.
