Biography

After bulging nearly 6 years under the surname Onelinedrawing , Jonah Matranga ( Far , Gratitude , New End Original ) decided in 2005 to end the adventure and instantly start a new one under his own name.
In the preamble to this new career, in 2006 a pretty digipack (not without recalling those of Pearl Jam's lives) was released, entitled Theres a Lot in Here . And actually with no less than 42 tracks separated between a live CD and a DVD, the least one can say, is that this output is well provided. Taking the tubes of Onelinedrawing's opus, Jonah also includes new songs drawing the contours of his new musical orientation: i.e. exactly the same as before, an Indie music / Folk made of acoustic guitar, bric and broc (Rhythm R2D2) and a splendid voice. In fact this name change is above all a way to assume full responsibility as a solo artist, for a man who attaches great importance to human adventure, encounters and sharing. Jonah resumes his good old habits of working executioner, and continues without interruption to write, compose and release without stops small EPs himself (Sketchy EP 3, The Three Sketchys , Songs From Sacramento Vol 1 & 2 ) or on small labels ( Split with Frank Turner at X-tra Mile ). It was in autumn 2007 that Jonah Matranga's first real album was released in this form. And released in September 2007 at different labels (Yr Letter Records in France) And for that matter, what was not the surprise when he saw him disembarking with many musicians. The result, while being of high quality, is a little in opposition to the previous cakes, with an impressive musical richness. His state of mind does not change, and his constant attention to fully satisfy his audience continues to be checked. With small details as in And where the texts are accompanied by guitar chords to play it like Jonah Or through more daring companies such as the concept of Unique Recording, which offers the possibility to anyone who wishes it, on reasonable financial terms, to be re-recorded any title written during his long musical career, or even covers of any artist in exchange for a Jonah agreement.
