Josh Tillman
Biography
Josh Tillman was born in Maryland in the early 1980s, within a highly practicing family that did not allow him to listen to artists he loved such as Bob Dylan, John Lee Hooker, or Neil Young. So it is only with friends that he manages to escape, escaping Christian music, which is the only register allowed in his home. He will discover in high school groups like Beach Boys, or Gram Parsons who will definitely decide to make the choice of musician life. Just arrived in New York, Tillman will stage his first scenes at the age of 20. Then it's the big start to the unknown, and the US roads. He will finally decide to place his baluchon in Seattle where he meets the local folk sizes of Damien Jurado and Jesse Sykes. Josh Tillman released two blues-consonance albums, each 100 copies: I Will Return in 2005, and Long May You Run in 2006. But his first real album will be Minor Works , a record with a distribution that is finally worthy of this name via the Parisian label Fargo for Europe.
