Joy Wants Eternity is a post-Rock band formed in 2003 in Seattle, USA around Emory Liu (Battery), Salvador Huerta (Guitare), Michael Sterling (Guitare), Rob Thompson (Guitare / Claviers), Daniel Salo (Claviers / Bass / Guitar), but also about ten other musicians to form a sound wall. This is how a first ep was born, Must You Smash Your Ears Before You Learn To Listen With Your Eyes in 2015 as well as You Who Pretend To Sleep which appeared in 2007 at Beep Repaired and Xtal Records. Joy Wants Eternity is then compared to Explosions In The Sky and Mogwai in the way of playing a melodic, twisted Post-Rock and its various guitar effects. Joy Wants Eternity plays with Caspian, Beware Of Safety or You.May.Die.In.The.Desert. . After a tour in the United States, Joy Wants Eternity is working on his new album, The Fog Is Rising , which appeared in 2012 in a self-produced manner. In 2015, they made a soundtrack for the documentary Mad Tiger that follows the Japanese punk rock band Peelander-Z.
