Created in 1997 under the name of Parva, this British rock band influenced by the new wave and punk rock scenes of the 1970s, 80 became Kaiser Chiefs in 2003, his current lineup includes Ricky Wilson (sing), Andrew White (guitar), Simon Rix (bass), Nick Baines (claviers) and Vijay Mistry (drums). Before even releasing his first album, Kaiser Chiefs manages to make himself known by his quality live performances, his participation in the NME Awards Tour 2005 allows him to quickly attract media attention, and to promote Employment released in March in the best of ways, it should be noted that the opus contains the title I Predict a Riot true tube which is still to this day the best known; Oh My God another single will later be taken by Mark Ronson and Lily Allen. For his second baby Yours Truly, Angry Mob, the band is moving more towards a genre of rock us that would have clinged to Led Zeppelin, on this occasion Kaiser Chiefs signs at Matador Records, we are then in 2007. Leeds' quintet is quite assiduous in terms of his studio releases, in October 2008 comes Off with Their Heads his third album which contains notably the single Never Miss a Beat , the tour that will follow him will see him play in the first part of Green Day , before a hiatus that will last two years. Following this break, the Leeds come back with a fourth volume The Future Is Medieval that will include among its producers Tony Visconti (David Bowie , Morrissey ...) , Ethan Johns (Joe Cocker ...) or Owen Morris (Oasis , The Verve ...), initially the album is only available digitally via the site of the band that proposes to its fans to download their own version, in fact 20 songs are put online and 10 can be chosen for £7.50, £1 will be donated to the Alzheimer's Society for each copy downloaded, the official version of The Future Is Medieval is released in June 2011; A special edition for the US market will be available a year later under the name Start The Revolution Without Me, in which the tracklist diverges significantly.
