Karl Sanders
Biography
Karl Sanders is known to be the frontman of the Death Metal Nile band formed in 1993. The musician was born 1963 in San Francisco, California. After a prolific career with Nile for twenty years, the musician feels the need to move away from Death Metal after numerous tours and wants to record ambience and relaxing music. In 2004, accompanied by Mike Breazeale and Pete Hammoura, drummer of Nile, he made a parenthesis in relation to the band and released Saurian Meditation , an instrumental disc tinted with oriental influences that exploits some ideas not retained by Nile supported by Relapse Records. It was five years later that Karl Sanders gave him a follow-up with Saurian Exorcisms but without the help of Pete Hammoura since the musician now took care of the calviers, percussion and drums. The album was released in July 2009 at The End Records. Thirteen years later, Karl Sanders (still surrounded by Mike Breazeale in singing) reactivates his Ambient / Folk project with the album Saurian Apocalypse which appeared in July 2022 at Napalm Records.
