Keelhaul
Biography
Officially trained in 1997 in Cleveland, USA, Keelhaul is a quartet that has always sought musical complexity. His music has since the beginning of the band resembled a very dense and chaotic hardcore using largely the whole panel of techniques offered by solfegial theories and a massive and energetic sound. As early as 1998, the band financed its first album, I , and noted it by Cambodia Records, which distributed it on a small scale. This does not prevent the formation from forming its first real live experience on tour (with Botch in particular), throughout the United States, where word of mouth makes its effect, so much so that Hydra Head signed the quartet in 1999, first for a maxi 7, then for his second album, II. The label allows them to shoot with tenors from their catalog, EyeHateGod and Meatjack. It was in 2003 that Subject To Change Without Notice came out in the United States, the third American album, and perfect mastery of their artistic personality still blurred on previous opus. It has been distributed in Europe since 2005.
