Biography

At the end of 1997, 5 boys with an average age of only 16 years formed Keepsake. A few demos were quickly recorded and a few weeks later John Wylie, who had just formed Eulogy Recordings for a short time, fell on it and decided to sign the band for a record: The Things I Would Say was released in the summer of '98. A tour of the East Coast of the United States follows, after which disagreements between the members are so important that only Shane (chant) and Paul (guitar) remain. Both, and with the help of Chris Hornbrooke (Poison The Well) on the battery, they record an EP called She Hums Like A Radio for a dark label they will soon split up. Eulogy then proposes to the rest of the band to release a reissue of She Hums... in version MCD + their next album, which will later be composed and titled The End Of Sound (2000) (in the meantime provisional members filled the various vacant places within the band). 2 or 3 changes of line up later (the singer is the only original member remaining from the most recent training), Fearless Records offers a contract of a record to the band that will not take long to accept: Black Dress In A B Movie released in June 2002. The cd is not really successful and Fearless and Keepsake remain there for their collaboration. In July '03, the group announced its entry into hiatus, a long break, even though members said they had not dissolved Keepsake. Since then, 3 members have reformed a band named The Sound Of Silence (2 demos are available here )
