Born Alix Mathurin at Abymes in Guadeloupe on 28 December 1977, Kery James is considered one of the safe values of French rap, especially conscious rap. Member of the collective Mafia K'1 Fry , he started from the age of 13 in the group Ideal Junior with his friends rapper Harry and dancers Teddy and Selim (now Jessy Money, Teddy Corona and Selim respectively of 9.4 in the collective Mafia K的1 Fry).
