King Woman
Biography
King Woman was founded in 2009 by Kristina Esfandiari in San Francisco. However, the band, crystallized around Joseph Raygoza (Battery) Patrick Hills (Guitare) and Sky Madden (Basse), produced no records until 2013, when the singer left Whirr. Producing two well received singles by critics in 2013 and 2014, The Flenser Records decides to sign the band and Colin Gallagher comes at that time to strengthen the band as second guitarist. The ep Doubt , first release for this label, was put on the market in 2015. Sky was replaced by Peter Arensdorf (Basse) and the now quartet released his first album, Created In The Image Of Suffering in 2017 at Relapse Records. King Woman is quite discreet afterwards. Colin left the band and Peter found himself managing bass and guitar, King Woman in front of a duo. Their return is announced with Celestial Blues, released at Relapse Records in 2021 and showing a new darker and gothic orientation of the band.
