Kira Kira

Kira Kira aka Kristín Björk Kristjánsdóttir has been sailing in the unctuous waters of the Icelandic electro / glitch for ten years. A founding member of the Icelandic artistic collective Kitchen Motors (including Johann Johannsson ), Kristín Björk took part in various dance, cinema, theatre and music projects before becoming Kira Kira in 1999, following his stay in Tokyo. The eccentricity of the visuals of the Icelandic woman, on stage and her love for the primitive arts blend as naturally with her organic conception of music, transforming into an instrument everything that falls within her reach, constantly in search of the melodies of her childhood.
These experiments resulted in a first confidential album, Skotta , released in 2006. Following the path dug by her compatriots from Múm (with whom she shared a 10"), Kira Kira , then in the midst of a musical outbreak, presents Our Map to the Monster Olympics two years later.
