Kobayes

The group, originally from Orne and founded at the end of 1997, is composed of 5 angry bass-normans: Niko (guitar/trumpet/saxo/choeurs), Guillaume (gratte/choeurs), Ian (bass/choeurs), Christian (chant/choeurs) and the other Guillaume (battery). It was replaced in mid-2002 for a more or less long term by Jean-Mi, a pro drummer, who is currently more able to accompany the group. Defenders of the "do it yourself" the Kobayes are regrouped with other groups like Hentai or the best known Off Your Head (split-cd to come from elsewhere) in a collective with the sweet name "Crew du Ku" and have set up their association for an effective self-production, Loko Records, which owns its own studios managed by Guillaume, the guitarist, also ingested sound. From an average age of 20 years, the group released its first eponymous demo at the end of '98 and a second demo, intended for promotion and exhausted to date, in 1999. Kobayes made at that time in the big pure metal juice but still seeks his true personality. In 2001, assimilating all their hardcore influences in all forms (skacore, hxc/metal, hxc/punk) like Body Bag , Sick Of It All , Raisted Fist or Cypress Hill , they laid us Unit their first album. Almost unclassifiable, his hardskanoisypunkcore, as they describe it, turns out to be heteroclite and yet very coherent, combining variety and a real singularity, he has as the only leitmotiv the big sound and revolt.
