Biography

Korum is a band from Paris, born in 1999, based on the ashes of a Hardcore Metal band in which Boban Tomic was a drummer, and Kriss at bass. Korum has a rhythmic and HxC sounds, which will soon be tinted by Death with the arrival of Nicolas Coudert on the guitar, when the former guitarist left. The amazing dish that we simmer Korum is then a technical Deathcore, learned mix of Brutal Hardcore and Death. The group puts on paper compositions, and refines the rendering in every detail, creating a staff sound. The singers follow each other and all resemble each other, and in 2001 Olivier Delecroix arrived at the microphone. They began to build a reputation by playing in squats, together with groups from the Parisian scene, such as Gothic or Fate. In 2001 Shivering , a 300-print demo was released, which will be used mainly to find a label, for associative radio stations, and to participate in the pre-selection of the Metallian laughing forces contest. Korum then signed at Sekhmet records ( Martyr , Capharnaum , Coprofago , ....), a new Parisian label specializing in extreme music. In 2002, Korum released his first album, Son of the breath (10 tracks). The band began to talk about him in the specialized press (Metallan, Hard'N'Heavy, ....), and even toured in Poland (countries where extreme music is much more created than in France), a boon for the band. Korum shares the poster with major bands like Mastodon, Opeth, Aborted, The Haunted, .... . The Parisian combo released a new album in 2003, No dominion (9 tracks), which continues on track and proves that Korum knows how to make a difference. In 2004 Nicolas left the band, and it was not a guitarist who replaced him, but two: Florent Baujard and Ivan Sikic, who would make the sound of the band even more interesting, remaining in Nicolas' sonorities. Then Boban also left the group, replaced by Tarik Zulficar, fully ensuring his place within the quorum, and adding a new dimension to the percus.
