Biography

Originally from Stavanger, Norway, Kvelertak formed in 2007 with Erleиd Hjelvik (Chant), Vidar, Bjarte Lund Rolland and Maciek (Guitares), Marvin (Basse) and Kjetil (Batterie). A demo ( Westcoast Holocaust) and energetic and intense concerts allow them to participate in a few festivals in Denmark and Holland. At the end of 2009, the Norwegian combo signed a contract with the Indie Recordings label and contacted Kurt Ballou ( Converge ) to produce their first album. The eponymous album, an unlikely mix of Punk-Hardcore and Black-Metal, was released in 2010, whose artwork was directed by John Baizley (Baroness). Kvelertak also participates in the European tour with Kylesa, Converge and Gaza. In 2013, they returned with Meir, signed by Roadrunner Records and three years later, under the same label, released their third album: Nattesferd.
