Biography

Kwal is originally from Angers, it is the stage name of Vincent Loiseau. He made his debut in Carc[h]arias , a metal band that had released a few CDs (including an EP featuring Reuno by Lofofora ) and had had a huge success in a real album. After the end of the Carc[h]arias adventure, in 2001, Kwal sailed from his own wings towards more hip-hop sounds to which were added world, Indian, trip-hop, jazz, ... Rules of tales released in 2002, concept album on children's tales there shows a quality songwriting (we find tablas, sitar, ...) and committed texts often speaking about Africa, media and integrations. In 2005 he returned with Mogo Ya (Human soul) very inspired by the African sounds whose texts will most often refer. With his human baggage (travels around the world) and artistic (he made the conservatory) Kwal released his third album in 2007: Where J The angry hip hop leaves room for a form of slam in which the instruments can inspire, Kwal slalom between the labels and serves texts always committed but with a more sentimental but always effective content.
