Lair Of The Minotaur

It was in 2003 in Chicago that this side-project was formed around Steven Rathbone (Guitare / Chant), Donald James Barraca (Basse) of 7000 Dying Rats, as well as Larry Herweg who is none other than the drummer of Pelican and Tusk. After a first demo, the band released in 2004 Carnage , nourished at Thrash and Sludge on the label of Greg Anderson (Goatsnake , Sunn O) , Teeth Of Lions Rules The Divine ) which is Southern Lord Records followed closely by the ep Cannibal Massacre . The band made a strong armed impression of its new opus: The Ultimate Destroyer in 2006 before Chris Wozniak replaced Larry Herweg at the end of the year. Lair Of The Minotaur continues with a European tour alongside Capricorns in the summer of 2007 before returning to the studio tracks at the end of the year to lead to War Metal Battle Master, which will still appear at Southern Lords Records in 2008. The trio started a tour with Kylesa , Today Is The Day , Boris and Torche before Donald James Barraca left Nate Olp. A dvd edition of War Metal Battle Master was released in 2009 as the band returned for its fourth studio album in 2010. Evil Power is this time signed on the independent label The Grind-House Records, held notably by Rathbone and Wozniak.
