Lamb Of God
Biography
Lamb Of God's bases were laid in 1990, while Mark Morton, Chris Adler and John Campbell lived on the same floor of Virginia Commonwealth University. A new guitarist, Abe Spear, joins the band and Randy Blythe joins the voice and then the band comes out of his instrumental sounds in 1994 known as Burn The Priest. After two demos, two splits and a compilation, the band formed an eponymous album in 1999, before Abe Spear left Burn The Priest, leaving room for Chris Adler's brother, Willie Adler. So was Lamb Of God.
With a new name and a new label (Prosthetic Records), the Americans released their first album in 2000 produced by Steve Austin (Today Is The Day ) entitled New American Gospel . Lamb Of God delivers music inspired by Pantera's Thrash-Metal and Groove-Metal, which is found with similarities in attitude, riffs and themes. On tour for two years, Lamb Of God returned in 2003 with As The Palace Burn , but it was mainly with Ashes Of The Wake released a year after the band's popularity increased as the record was widely appreciated and started in 27th place on Billboard during its first week of release. Killadelphia in 2005, reports on the Ashes Of The Wake tour, published on cd and dvd. Sacrament the following year confirmed the band's rise since the album was placed in eighth place in the first week of the Billboard. With this success, Lamb Of God accompanied Slayer , Mastodon , Children Of Bodom and Thine Eyes Bleed on the 2006 Unholy Alliance Tour, whose title Vigil was featured on the 2007 DVD. In 2008 the band released a third dvd, Walk With Me In Hell, which testifies to their performance for three years around the world including alongside Megadeth, Opeth, Arch Enemy, or Overkill. Wrath , short last and fifth album of discography released in 2009.
