Lars Fredericksen&The Bastards , is a parallel project created by Lars and Tim Armstrong of Rancid during the off periods of their main group. After co-writing a dozen titles and working on several occasions, including Motörhead's "Leaving Here", the duo surrounded himself with musicians such as Big Jay (bass), Scott Abels (battery) and released a first album in 2001 at Hellcat Records. In 2004 their second opus, Viking , mixed by Brett Gurewitz from Bad Religion appeared.
