Biography

Michael Hughes : singing Charles Hastings : guitar, singing Christian Caudle : bass Zack Venable : guitar Corey Killough : drums
In Scottsboro, Alabama, five teenagers regroup in summer '05 to form Latin for Truth. Without goals or dreams or even precise style, the changing line-up regularly records demos (one per year) and plays in a few local rooms... Until spring 2008 when, with a line-up now established, they wrote and recorded during the summer a first album, Even Even, which will only be released in February 2009 via the small label Wisteria Records. Written and recorded according to Michael Hughes "in order to get people from our local Alabama scene to listen to groups like Lifetime , Kid Dynamite , The Movelife , or Fugazi ", the band that thought it would stay local sees its opus spreading (illegally) on the internet. Still composed of three teenagers and two adults, the troupe then left its home state to export modestly.
The adventure will be of short duration since in May '09, Latin for Truth have a van accident that forces them to cancel a tour and stop any activity time to earn a little money to pay for repairs etc. Faithful adherents of the LDC (Positive Mental Attitude), the five 'remain posi' and decide to reveal during their financial recovery the fruit of their recent work and musical evolution. Thus the EP 3 tracks We Are Sick of Not Having the Courage to Be Absolute Nobodies is published (free online distribution only) by Pitfall Records during the summer and a 7" demo, The '95 Sound , also appears mid-November '09. An album entitled Youth Crew Blues is in preparation for spring 2010.
