Biography

Latitudes, behind this pseudonym are five guys hiding; Tim Blyth (guitar) Adam Crowley (guitar), Jon Lyon (bass), Mike Davies (battery) and Rich Harper (keyboard). Their thing is to play a mix of sludge / post-metal instrumental, cold, gripping and getting darker over albums. In addition Adam Symonds ( Eden Maine , The Rifle Volunteer ) who invites himself on some songs, embellishes their music with an even more tired touch, dying. Only in 2007 did their first effort, Bleak Epiphanies In Slow Motion, emerge. With this EP they lay the basis of their music, a raw, massive, black and determined sound. Signed on the label Shelsmusic (Black Sheep Wall , Admiral Angry , Erlen Meyer ...), Latitudes released its first album Agonist in 2009. Continuing the path already set by their previous EP, this new production is gaining in fame. They will take 3 years to provide the album of their consecration, an apocalyptic ode, named Individuation produced by Chris Fielding ( Napalm Death, Electric Wizard). It was released on July 2, 2012 on the Shelsmusic label. This already confirmed potential band played alongside Carcass, Baroness, Minsk, A Storm Of Light and * Shels. Not lacking inspiration, writing new songs has already begun. This will give in 2016 a third album with more pronounced Black accents, named Old Sunlight, and hosted this time by Debemur Morti Productions.
