Biography

In the summer of 2002, members of two different groups from Birmingham (United Kingdom) decided to form a more aggressive group by giving it the proper name: Laughing in the Face of . Following a few punk rock concerts, they deliver their first Demo Apologetic to the year. The group will then undergo for more than a year the inevitable changes of line-up with notably 4 different drummers, including Rich Murphy who recorded the EP Do Your Worst in January '04. In October, Andy will finally settle behind the drums for good. The line-up has remained unchanged since then. With a solid base, the quartet can embark on concerts a little further from their original Midwest, armed with a new EP: Angry Man With Frying Pan (2005). For 3 years, they refine their sound which becomes more technical, aggressive, with increasingly assumed metal influences... Until the release of the maxi Technically, It's Not Our Fault (2008) on their own label 901dB Recordings. They then gave support to a few regional radio stations and scoured the theatres of Great Britain. At the end of 2009, they recorded 5 demos that opened the doors of the Lockjaw Records label (Antillectual, Fights and Fires, The Human Project, The Departed, etc.). They released The Lubrication of Social Anxiety (first full album) in February 2011 and toured for the first time in Europe, after opening for Strung Out, This Is A Standoff, No Trigger, Guttermouth etc. For 2012, the idea of an EP for spring is launched, a pretext for new tours at home and in Europe...
