Leaves Eyes
Biography
Leaves Eyes was formed by Liv Kristine after being thanked for Theater Of Tragedy in 2003. The Norwegian offers a collaboration to the German group Atrocity, whose singer is her husband. The entire line-up of Atrocity associated with the singer forms Leaves' Eyes . Moreover, every time a member changes in one group, it will also change in the other, the two formations seem really inseparable. The first album, Lovelorn , was released in 2004. Since then, the band has been surprisingly productive: an EP is released a few months later, a second EP is released in early 2005, and the second album, Vinland Saga , is released exactly one year after the release of the first album. The following year, the EP Legend Land was born. In 2009, Leaves' Eyes returned with a live, an EP, and an album: Njord . If the drummer position is very unstable, these three outputs are the first to mark a line-up change to bass, now held by Alla Fedynitch. She will leave the band (finally, the bands, since Leaves' Eyes still works hand in hand with Atrocity) right after and will be replaced by J.B. Van der Wal for the upcoming publications: EP Melusine and the album Meredededad , both published in 2011. The training returned in 2013 in the form of a quintet (and Atrocity in the form of a quartet, thus without Liv Kristine), Thorsten Bauer now taking care of the bass in addition to his usual position as guitarist. The fifth and sixth albums, Symphony Of The Night (2013) and King Of Kings (2015), were released in this form. In January 2016, Liv Kristine and her husband Alexander Krull (singer in Atrocity and Leaves' Eyes) divorced. In mid-2016, Leaves' Eyes announces to separate from its singer and founder and continue the adventure with Elina Siirala ( EnkElination ). The announcement was controversial, as the vocalist claimed to have been excluded from the group, with the group announcing a mutually agreed separation. It will take about a year to Leaves' Eyes to get out of his judicial troubles and be able to continue playing his old pieces. The band returned in early 2018 with a new album, the first with its new frontwoman: Sign Of The Dragonhead.
