Biography
Sheena Ozzella Guitare / Chant) and Alex Kerns (Battery / Chant) who have already known each other for years, decide to set up the Lemuria band at the end of 2004. Sharing their passion for Lemonheads , Superchunk , Jawbreaker and Hüsker Dü , their influences range from Punk to Indie Rock melodies. The duo recruits Adam Vernick (Basse / Chant) who leaves them quickly before recording the first ep. Jason Draper took over and the eponymous was released in 2005 at Art Of The Underground, Alex's label. Follow a series of eps and splits alongside Frame, Kind Of Like Spitting, Off With Their Heads, The Ergs! , until the songs were put together on a compilation, The First Collection , released in 2007. The same year, Lemuria recorded her first album at Asian Man Records, which received a very good reception. After a two-eps series (Ozzy / Chautauqua County) and a split with Cheap Girls, the band released its second album in 2011: Pebble.
