Life Of Agony
Biography
Quatuor formed in Brooklyn (NY) in the last few months of the 1980s, Life of Agony became an essential band for the following decade from his first album.Originally composed by Keith Caputo, (song) Joey Z. (Guitare) and Alan Robert (bass), it was only with the arrival behind the drums of Sal Abruscato (Type O Negative) some time before the recording of this first long that the band took its final form. Although Life Of Agony's lineup has subsequently undergone changes over albums, it is with this group that River Runs Red gave birth in 1993, which is still worth considering as the only real historical lineup. The album, a mix of Hardcore Metal and Heavy, Gothic and Doom influences, is a piece of paper and is still the most famous album of New York's combo, although it has given the cover back in 1995 (Ugly, then in 1997 saw its style evolve towards the Alternative Metal and its members disperse. The departure of Keith Caputo, less and less in tune with the music of his band, shortly after the recording of Soul Searching Sun sounded the beginning of the end for Life Of Agony who ended up splicing two years later. Capitalizing on the never denied success of his debut, Life Of Agony will nevertheless reshape under his original composition in 2003, the anniversary of River Runs Red's release. In spite of a new studio album released in 2005, the band again reached the point of break in 2011 while Keith, now "Mina", Caputo, reached the end of a long reflection, formalized his decision to change sex and continue as a woman his solo career begun in the 1990s. The band finally reformed and released in 2017 a new album, A Place Where There's No More Pain.
