Lock Up

Lock Up is a group of Grind/Death formed in 1998 by cadors from the Metal Extreme milieu. In fact, the formation originally consists of Shane Embury at bass ( Napalm Death , Brujeria , Venomous Concept ), drummer Nicholas Barler (ex-Dimmu Borgir , Cradle of Filth ) of guitarist and late Jesse Pintado ( Napalm Death , Terrorizer ) who are joined by the famous musician and producer Peter Tägtgren ( Hypocrisy , Pain , Lindemann ). This beautiful little world records a first album released in 1999, Pleasures Pave Sewers, which receives a lot of positive reviews, it must be said that with such a line-up this opus could not be a bide. In 2002 the gaillards handed over the cover with Hate Breeds Suffering , Tägtgren being unavailable he was replaced behind the microphone by another leading midfielder, the singer of At The Gates: Tomas Lindberg. The fine team then embarks on a tour that will take them to Japan. After a long break and the death in 2006 of Jesse Pintado, Lock Up is finally back in 2009 with Chilean guitarist Anton Reisenegger, some dates and festivals are made then Lock Up returns in silent mode until 2010 and the release of a split with Misery Index. In 2011 appeared the third album Necropolis Transparent , this one is recorded at the HVR Studio in England, Tägtgren who found some time appears as a guest just like the bassist / singer of Carcass Jeff Walker. At The Gates having taken over the service Tomas Lindberg gave way to Kevin Sharp ( Brutal Truth ) in 2014. End 2015 Lock Up announces the release of a new mischief for early 2016 via Nuclear Blast. Demonization finally came out in 2017, via the French label, Listable Records. The band is on display at Metalorgie Fest in May with Napalm Death, Brujeria and Power Trip.
